Live event production training

Signal in. Program out.

MICT Academy trains volunteers to run a live event production system — from the camera and microphone, through the mixer, out to the room and everyone watching remotely. Structured lessons, real assessments, at your own pace.

A team of MICT Academy production volunteers

Built for beginners.

No production background required. The program assumes you're learning this alongside a job, a family, and a packed calendar — self-paced, broken into short lessons, with a quiz after each module so you know it landed before you're behind the mixer live.

The Foundational Program

One structured course, built around the complete signal chain a production volunteer actually touches on event day. Every topic below is a real module — nothing hypothetical, nothing "coming soon."

Camera & microphone inputs

How to set up, frame, and mic a live event so the signal starts clean.

The production computer

Where your inputs meet your software — the hub of the whole system.

The video mixer

Cutting between sources live, without losing your composure or your feed.

Zoom & remote conferencing

Bringing a remote speaker or overflow room into the same production.

Event hall displays

Getting a clean, correctly-scaled picture up on every screen in the room.

The speaker system

Closing the loop so sound and picture reach the back row in sync.
